During the installation of Linux7.3 the install freezes after it detects the monitor. I have tried to disable the auto probing but this make no difference. I have even tried to unplug the monitor during the installation. This is my first install of Linux so I am a little clueless on what could be causing this problem.
I have narrowed the problem down to the Compaq 3x00 array controller on my Proliant 1850R server, not with the video driver. The install does not recognize the drivers and I am having a hard time finding them on Compaq's support site. I have tried following Compaq's installation instruction with no luck. Any other suggestions on how to get around this?

Have the same problem with Compaq Presario 6016US, which I just purchased. The installation worked for me the first time around, but after reinstallation got the same problem. If you are any closer to resolving the problem, please let me know. I posted my problem on the forum today July 08, around 8AM under Rob. Where do I get the needed drivers?
