Hello
I just got a linksys wpc54g wireless adapter
pcmcia card.
I have installed
wireless-tools-25-4mdk.i586.rpm
I got tools like
/sbin/iwconfig
/sbin/iwevent
/sbin/iwgetid
/sbin/iwlist
/sbin/iwpriv
/sbin/iwspy
I have power on my card...
Now this is the big question???
Where and how do I configure this card??
I don't even know what device to look for.
Can I configure it in the mandrake control
panel or do I use the iwconfig command..
Thanks for any help

I too have been having some problems finding any help on wireless G drivers for linux. I have a Linksys Wireless G card and after I bought it found that drivers are non-existent. The issue is that linksys uses a Broadcom chipset with proprietory source that they will not share do to their association with MS. Here are some sites that might help bring you up to speed.

There is one driver currently being developed for the G standard. It can be found at SourceForge. http://sourceforge.net/projects/madwifi/
Hope it helps, and if you find anything else, please post back....

hello Wallinger,
I have the linksys wpc54g adapter, and I was wondering if you know if the G standard drivers actually work with this card.
Because those drivers work for Atheros chip sets.
Please let me know if you've had luck with the drivers.
Thanks
