Hi, I have downloaded limewire and I have a question. Before I downloaded LimeWire I checked how much space I have free on my harddrive, which was 1.7gig. So I downloaded LimeWire and installed it. I then checked how much free space I have and it said 1.2gig. But then just yesterday I looked at file size and it said 950mb, and I am like what the f*ck! I have only 6 songs on my harddrive and there only about 5mb each, and the file they download to is in the /home which has 4.1gig. So I download another song and check how much size I have free every couple minutes and at 20% done my I have only 931mb free. My question is, what the hell is going on??? I had napster before and I tons of songs and they didn't even take more than 500mb. I checked limewire.com and I couldn't find anthing on this. I would appreciate any help! Bye the way, the 931mb is my root free space, 4.1mb is the /home. Thanks.

Just change to LimeWire/Shared directory and see how much each file takes up!!! As far as I remember, a 4-minute song will take up about 4,500 MB... If you run "du" from there, it will tell you how much space the whole directory takes up!
