To All, I am using mandrake 9.0, with window xp. I want to set window xp as the default how would i do this. I was told to go into linuxconfig and change the order however when i try to run linuxconfig an error message appears: Error message from remadmin :Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server Error message from remadmin :Xlib: No protocol specified Error message from remadmin : Error message from remadmin : Error message from remadmin :Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0.0 ls Can someone help me..? Run the following command in a terminal: lilo -D xp i.e if xp is the boot label for windows xp.

Hi Everyone I have RedHat 7.1. Even though I have 16MB VRam, higher resolutions are not being supported. I get default resolution, 640 X 480, which is awful to see. Once I tried to change the resolution to 800 X 600 using Xconfiguarator, and system got stuck and fm then i couldn't get GUI Later I re installed the OS and I got 640 X 480 resolution. Second, I changed the linuxconf file according to my needs and when i try to excute lilo, ofcourse after changing the permisions, in /sbin, its giving me "Bad command file" error. Will be waiting for a helpful soul
