LAN card not connecting

OS: suse8.1
CPU/Ram: 256ddr

runnings suse pro 8.1 and when bootloader comes up it finds my ethernet card but wont connect to the internet. It says "ifup eth0 device or resource is busy" & "ifroute is not configured correctly" anyone know how i can get connected?

What are the outputs from both "ifconfig"
and "route"?
