Could someone tell me if there is a way to convert a .kwd file into a .doc file? Unfortunately, I can't boot the Slackware any more so I am left with a .kwd file saved on a diskette.

You need to open Koffice first and then go to Save As to save it as MS Word!!! I don't even believe MS Word would read it the way it is right now, .kwd... If you can't boot Slackware, you can always download the latest version of Knoppix Linux, 3.4, and run it directly from a CD on any computer. Then, fire up Koffice and open that file from a floppy disk. Convert it to MS Word and save it back to floppy disk.
