KVM issues with Caldera OL 2.3

This is a relatively minor issue.
I have two computers (Dell Dimension & HP Pavilion 6343) hooked up to one monitor, keyboard & mouse via a Power Reach Lite KVM controller.
No problems with the Dimension. It boots Mandrake 10 & Windows 2000 Pro reliably.
The other machine, which should boot Windows 95 OSR2 & Caldera Linux has this problem : when I boot into Linux, the mouse doesn't work unless I unplug it from the KVM switch and then back in again.
Like I said trivial, but is there any solution?
Just curious.

caldera was done by the sco group and you won't get much help from linux users about it try switching distros as caldera is getting pretty old anyway

This occurs after I login graphically in a KDE session.
