I only have one USB port on my computer that works, I had only USB devices and I set up linux to work with them. It was working having the mouse hooked into the keyboard and then the keyboard into the computer, but recently my mouse will work and my keyboard won't. If I unplug the mouse and restart the keyboard works and I am able to log in. I found another mouse (ps2) but it doesn't work. How can I set the new mouse up using only the keyboard? I'm fairly new to linux so go easy on me:) Thanks!

looks like hardware confilict...check IRQ and I/O address of devices for possible confilict. don't trust pnp(plug & play) too much, it also called plug and prey...:-)
