I recently installed Red Hat Linux 7.2 on my computer. The installation is fine and I have complete control of my mouse and keyboard (both PS/2). However, after installation Linux boots to a Red Hat login screen. At this point, my keyboard and mouse have no response and the computer freezes. I've heard about running a program to reconfigure my mouse and keyboard, but I don't know how to get to a screen to run the program. I'm not very familiar with Linux, so I have no idea what is wrong. I also tried to install Mandrake Linux 8.0 before installing Red Hat and got the same problem, no keyboard and no mouse. I would appreciate any suggestions. Below are the specs to my computer, hope this helps:
Celeron 633, 256MB SDRAM, Abit BH6 motherboard, Diamond Viper V770 AGP card, Logitech PS/2 mouse, and Mitsumi PS/2 keyboard

I've received several emails on this topic. I have fixed the error that I reported on before. It was an old ISA sound card I had in the computer. After removing it, Linux worked fine and my mouse and keyboard didn't freeze. I hope this helps everyone out.

Hi,
I have the same problem when I installed RedHat 7.2 on my HP Pavilion. I am not sure if my sound card can be removed because it is integrated with the motherboard. Is there any code fix in the kernel code, or driver module code for this problem? Thanks.
