Hi, I am having a big problem booting SLAX Server 5.1.7. I am using a single FreeDOS Floppy disk to do so. After overcoming one error (I had to load FreeDOS in HIMEM), a new problem presented itself: "Kernel Panic", because of a file called chroot. How do I fix this?

Why are you using a DOS based floppy? Can you not just boot off the slax cd?

I cant boot from the CD for some reason. I have several different Linux live cds, and I use either a boot floppy that came with the download or the DOS floppy. I am not sure if its maby my BIOS isnt compatiable, because i hit F12 and hit CD-ROM Drive in the boot menu, but nothing happens, or if its connected to the lens on the drive that plays DVDs burning out a year ago, although CDs work fine.
