i am trying to install linux on my new pc. its an asrock p4AL-800 mother board with an ATI Radeon 9200 (64) mb video agp. i've set up a lot of linux 8.0 (anaconda) on a lot of pc's before but this is the first time i the installation fails
what happens is that when i install linux Red Hat 8.0 CD. the pc runs for about 5 seconds then, spews out a lot of info. Lastly what happens is that it tells me that there has been a kernel panic, something about attempting to kill init.
can anybody shed some light? can anybody tell my what's causing it? can anybody tell me how to prevent it?
