RedHat Linux version 5.2 is very very old and does not understand the hardware installed on your computer. When that release was in use, the state of the art system ran at 350Mhz and 512MB RAM was a LOT, not to mention that a 64 bit CPU did not yet exist.

You will be best served to install a more current release such as Fedora 10, Open Suse 11.1, Ubuntu 9.04, or (my personal favorite) Mandriva Linux 2009.1 (Spring).

There are many other distributions available, and they are all very good, but these are the ones that come to my mind first.

On the last server I installed, I had to disable the onboard network cards in the BIOS.

Install Redhat, install the drivers for the NICs, then activate the NICs in the BIOS again, and configure the NICs in Redhat.

I hope this will work for you.
