kdm login screen in redhat 8

What do I need to do to set kdm as my login screen?
I'm using Redhat 8.0

Try the middle selection on the bottom of the sign-in page. This should produce a list of environments from which you can boot into after login. It should ask you if you want the selected windows environment set as your default.

I found the file I need to change.

It's /etc/X11/prefdm.

I needed to manually edit this file because switchdesk doesn't work in Redhat 8.0.

They set up gdm as the default and they meant for it to stay that way.

How dumb.

You SHOULD also be able to edit the /etc/sysconfig/dektop file. This works in Mandrake, but no it Red Hat 8.0. As I said, this SHOULD work though.
