"Everytime i get any prob in linux and if i

Hey,
Have you gone crazy to reinstall Linux for such a small reason?Try this...
start menu -> preferences -> sound
Check both enable sound server and sound for events.
In the next(probably named events) tag you will find the list of events. Select "login" (or "startup" whichever is present). Now select an audio file for this event by clicking the browse button. Make sure it plays by clicking the button with a picture of a speaker on it. Click on OK (or Close whichever you find). Now logout and relogin. Can you see any improvement?
