I've had this problem when first installing KDE3 on Mandrake 8.2...I fixed it...it has now reappeared (after upgrading KDE) and I can't fix it again!=o(

Clicking on the shell button on the KDE panel, it launches a console but locks up the panel/kde menu. After quitting the shell, it comes up with a dialogue box:
KDEInit could not launch 'konsole-noxft'.
After clicking on OK, control is returned to the panel.

Just fixed it...I'll carry on with this posting just in case anyone else has the same problem. Just change the execute command from:
konsole-noxft %i %m
to
konsole -noxft %i %m (with a space after konsole)
and all works fine.
