well, i installed knoppix 3.8. i ran ndswrapper and got my wireless card driver in place. now i need to run iwconfig. i go to the shell and type iwconfig. and i dont' know what to do from here. anyone wanna push me in the right direction?

iwconfig is similar to ifconfig. It is used like: # iwconfig interface options I haven't really used wireless much but you can use it to set your ESSID, frequency etc.
For full help read the man pages: $ man iwconfig

ok, well i found a wizard on knoppix where it wants me to set all these things. here is the list. essid nwid freq channel mode nick rate rts frag txpower enc key power retry commit
