Is there a package/driver for a AOpen FM56-PM?

I got an AOpen FM56-PM modem for a gift, but I can not get it to work in Linux because it is a "winmodem". Is there a way to get it to work or a package that I could install to get my modem working?

I had this same modem for a few weeks, luckily it was short lived b/c we soon after got ADSL. But, as far as I know, and I looked and looked, there is no way to make this Linux compatible at the moment. then again, this may have changed since I was looking around (~3-4 months ago). Sorry : (

I am looking as well and haven't found a solution. Let me know if you see something out there, I will do the same.
