internet from a proxy server

CPU/Ram: p2 333/128m

I am trying to set up a linux machine to
allow other machines to get on the internet
using squid, ip-masq, or whatever. I think
my problem is that the internet comes from
a proxy server and I don't know how to get
linux to automatically get stuff from the
proxy server.
