I'm in the middle of installing Ubuntu 6.06, I set up all the partitions and everything and then it says:
"Partitioning:
If you continue, the changes listed below will be written to the disks.
Otherwise, you will be able to make further changes manually.WARNING: This will destroy all data on any partitions you have removed as
well as on the partitions that are going to be formatted. The following partitions are going to be formatted:
partition #2 of /dev/hda as ext3
partition #3 of /dev/hda as ext3
partition #4 of /dev/hda as swap"I don't want it to destroy my Windows partition, which i removed from the list (partition #1), which it sounds like it's about to do. How can i prevent this from happening and still install Ubuntu in the partitions i've specified? Any help please.
P.S. Their forums are currently down in case you would say i should check there first.

Download an iso file, from, for example here http://ftp.wayne.edu/linux_distribu... you probably need the intel x86. Then burn as an iso with deepburner. Boot the cd & install on you linux partition. Or, I think you can burn a live cd from here https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCD once booted up, I think, there is a wizard to install it to your hard disk.
