Hey guys and gals, just need a little help. A friend of mine has Windows XP installed on one drive. He wants to install Suse 7.3 on a second hard drive. He is going to set the new drive as a Primary Slave. How would he install the partitions on the second drive (would it be /dev/hda0, or /dev/hdb0?)....and how will he be able to choose what he boots too when the computer starts up? I already have linux installed on a 10GB partition on my 40GB drive so I'm not sure what he has to do with a second drive? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

The second hard drive is hdb, the partitions will be hdb1, hdb2 and so on. The boot process (using lilo or grub) is pretty much exactly the same as when linux is on the first hard drive. You don't have to expect any difficulties.
