i've been on linux before and ive been running on an old video card, i recently bought a new GeForce2 MX, i wanna do a FULL NEW INSTALL... i dont know how to go about it.. if i should have monitor and all setup to the new GeForce, or the old one. then try to setup drivers, not sure exactly, imma newbie i guess, it coudn't probe it while setting up the X graphical mode, (xf86config) or during installation, this is of RH6.2. / rh7 please help me out. thanx

Chris, If I understand right. You are wanting to upgrade from 6.2 to 7. Well I wouldn't want to configure it twice. I would put the card in let it boot and remove the old one and find the new one. You could test video settings here. Or after it finds the new one I would get it working at least at 640x480 setting. The new RH might have all the stuff for your card in the kernel. & 6.2 might not. I would just get it working and upgrade. And if your formating and installing. Stick the card in just minutes before you put the CD in the drive. Tom
