My 2 cents.

Ive tried to put 7.2 on a fat32
4-5 times never seems to work might
just be me. But if I were you I would
defrag win,then boot with 7.2 disk.Use GRUB
to resize the fat32 so you would have
bout 3 gigs empty then let mandrake
make its own partitions..
Just my 2 cents. And remember you could
loose all data So make sure you understand
what your doing defour you do it...

good luck,

Is not a good idea to install Linux on a MSfat partition, because ... a million of reasons.
Try to defrag your windows partition using not optimize the programs option in the advanced button.
When it is defrag, you can use GRUB or fips (in the dosutils directory of you CD) to resize the partition. BACKUP YOUR IMPORTANT INFORMATION and let the mandrake installation to make a linux native patition. Dont forget the swap partition.
Linux native partition works better in linux than a DOS partition.
Any way if you later wants to eliminate linux just use fips to configure the partition as DOS and run "FDISK /MBR" to remove LILO.
When use fips be sure what are you doing...
and BACKUP PLEASE.
