i am new to lunux and im having some trouble installing it. i downloaded it from a website and i extracted it. i copied a file to my floppy ''network.img'' and i restarted my pc. i came up to a window that said PLEASE CHOOSE INSTALLATION METHOD these were the chooses: NFS FTP HTTP i click the NFS but wasnt sure it was the right one, next a screen poped up saying: NO NET DEVICES FOUND. i clicked ok, and came to a screen that said: PLEASE CHOOSE NET ACCESS. they gave about 20 different options and i did not know any thing about net acces so i click the first one,i then came up to a screen that said: PLEASE ENTER PARAMETER TO GIVE TO THE KERNAL. can you please help me with my problem?

I feel the best thing is to download the complete file then burn the images to a cd disk then run your install as normal, I just feel that too many things can go wrong durring a network install such as a failed connection anyways when you download the files they will be in iso form, which you will then burn the image to a cdr in the event that you dont have a cd burner you can always find a distobution company that sells the burned iso images for really cheap, but normally with no support(and thats when you come here). If your unfamiliar with it like 3ly said get the iso or choose http instead of nfs...secondly a word of advice if u plan to linux get familiar with ur computer...u'll need it for later
