How's everyone doing? I'm an extreme newby to Linux and need some help. I have Mandrake 8.2 and want to install it. My prob is that it's going to be running on an older, slower system. I had it installed once before but took it off cause of extreme lag. Now I have a clean HD and want to install it again. Now I guess the problem is that when I last installed it it put the KMD gui and I was told that KMD was pretty power hungry and that I should try another one like icewrm or something like that. My question is how do I go about that. Do the CD's have the other gui's on them or is there another step to go threw. Again I'm new to this and any help (in laymens terms)would be greatly appreciated.

You can select the GUIs during installation and set the default later.
