Just installed Debian Linux 2.2 (potato) onto a macintosh LC575.
The first part of the installation went fine and all files were transfered fine, but when It comes to booting linux for the first time, I get the following error messages at startup, and don't exactly know what they are:1) "ex2-fs: warning checktime reached: running e2fsck recommended"
the startup continues to boot then the folloing error appears.
2) "Starting Internet superserver: Inetd
"INIT : ID "1" respawning too fast. Disabled for 5 minuites"The last error is displayed continuously every 5 minuites and bootup won't seem to continue passed this point.
Anybody have any idea on exactly what the last error message is and how to fix it?
All Help appreciated.

1) Running e2fsck is a bit like scandisk for windoze, the warning is just telling you that it has been a while since the last time it was checked.
2) Your internet services daemon (inetd) is failing to start. If you don't want to set up a telnet, ftp servers etc just disable the service from autostarting on boot. If it is important that you have it running, check in your /var/log/messages for any clues as to what the error might be (it might just be a matter of editing a config file to match your network).
