Hi,
I'm trying to install a Linux distro (Red Hat or Slack) and FreeBSD on a laptop; my problem is simple, I insert the CD, the boot prompt appears and then the kernel freezes. I've tried both Linux kernel 2.4.18 and 2.4.20 and FreeBSD release 5.0's kernel.
Here's the laptop specifications. At the end of this, you will find the latest things the kernels said before freezing. I appreciate your help. Thanks!n0dez

Have you solved it yet? I have buyed the same laptop and I have the same problems. I have tested that it works with kernel 2.2 and 2.5 series, but I cannot make it work in 2.4 series. Any idea?
Thank you in advance!
Regards.
