i recently installed Redhat 9, it installed perfectly, i even signed on, and was on it. then i shut my computer down. when i turn it back on, it doesnt just open redhat, it stars looking for a bootdisk, and so i put the redhat bootdisk in, and it aks something about starting from /something/hda2 so i juts push enter to start it, and it doesnt let me. so, i just thought i would re-install, so i set my bootdevice to boot from cd-rom and then it comes up with the first installation screen, and when i hit enter it says: uncompressing linux, crc error, halting system, and then i just stays on the screen. i put a fdisk bootdisk on there, to delete everything off, but it doesnt load what's on the bootdisk. i dont know what to do. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance! |
