I finally installed Linux 7.0, and I'm having a great time surfing the net, after days of networking issues. My question, how can I install downloaded programs, such as, acrobat reader. the file name is "linux-ar-405.tar.gz" I downloaded into my home directory. Please keep in mind that I"m only 5 days user! Thanks in advance

P.S this is written in linux Communicatar :)

Hello, the easiest way would be to go to the Gnome filesystem (filesystem option), and navigate to your home directory. Double-click the file and it will automatically decompress.

The real player situation is more fun! chmod a+x "filename" then ./"filename". By the way, there's no such thing as linux 7.0
