I was removing a Java plugin and in the process, something happened. When I restart my computer it goes directly to a full screen Terminal. I can't get to my Desktop anymore. I'm stuck or up a creek. Need some help.

Thanks guys for your responses. It turns out that a Java plugin I removed, also removed the Ubuntu-Desktop. I had to go through an aptitude update, then install Ubuntu-Desktop. Of course, this was after everything else I tried. arochester's second link also helped. BTW Jefro, startx did not work at anytime during this whole ordeal. It kept taking me back to my login terminal. Thanks again. All is working well and is where I am responding to this post.
