I've set up a Linux box as a mail server and I have it configured with ClamAV so that it will quarantine any emails that come in loaded with windows viruses. The problem is, I need to test it. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a resource where I can download some virus files and email them to myself. Netsky, Sasser...any of those will do. I thought of posting this in the windows forum, but decided that I didn't want to tease the poor guys.

Try searching on P2P networks, such as Kazaa, eDonkey, and WinMX.

I would highly advise you don't use a real viruse. There is a test viruse out there (i think it's called eclair) that is harmless but is reconised by almost all viruse scanners. Did you build it from source? If so there should be a test directory where clamav was unpacked. Try: $ clamscan -r /path/to/clamsource/test

Thanks guys. I'm checking out eclair and in the meantime I've sent myself the test files. Everything works and all is well.
