i hava problems with my network

The problem is that when i download from the second computer the internet connection slow down i have a DSL connection the first computer is Linux Slackware 8.1 the second is WinXP they ar connected via lan cards the linux machine have two lan cards and the win have only one the secon linux lan card is connected to a HUB and winXP lan is connected to this HUB that is how i get Ineternet on the WIN machine but when i start downloading something the internet connection on both machines get very very very very slow :) something is not OK i know it but i don't know what can someone tell me whato to do ? if u can't understand me ask because my english is not good enough to explain!!! thank you

Are you running IP Masquerade through linux? Identify what type of traffic is slowing down the network, whether they are coming from outside or within the LAN. Does it slow down when you downloading file across the two machines? Also check how much traffic is going through.
