I give up on trying to install the drivers for Linux Mandrake and the NVidia Video Card that I have. I have followed all the direction that were given to me and all I get is a message that says "Screen not Selected". What am I doing wrong? I am at the point of buying a new vidio card. I was thinking of a Voodoo 5500, but I am not sure if this will work either any more help with this problem would be appreciated.

try grabbing the drivers from www.nvidia.com. They should have the instructions there. I am pretty sure I used these instructions with my install of Mandrake 7.1 and everything worked well. The basic jist is you have to place the drivers on your HD then drop out to the command prompt and unzip them and apply them. I cannot remember the spicifics, but I will try to find them and post them for you. Good Luck!
