Hey
The problem is this:
I have RedHat 7.1 on a laptop.Im having some troubles setting up the X.But during the installation it worked (I mean I installed it in a graphical enviroment) so I know it must be able to work. Now,where do I find the log where I can read which settings for the monitor and video card it used during the installation?
Please help me out,Ive been having this problem for a while now,and I am tired of it.
Thanks in advance
Nikola

Even if you would find those settings I don't think they would help you much. The install program uses a standard vga driver which will work on almost any card. You could set up X to work with that but you wouldn't get more then 640x480 256 colors. If that's enough for you then just select one of the standard vga/svga drivers in xf86config (Or XConfigurator I think RedHat uses).
If you won't settle with that you'll have to find out what's in your machine and which drivers you need. xfree86.org might be a good place to look.

Yes,I know about the Xconfigurator,I solved the problem. For those who have the simmilar problem ,just edit the /etc/lilo.conf ,and add a vga=788 at the linux bootup part.
