Hi I would appreciate if anybody knows why I cannot install RedHat Linux 7.0..
I have purchsed RedHat Linux Deluxe Edition, when I wanted install it my Pc was hung up when it got running install
running sbin/loader I think that after that should be get running Anaconda it take a few minutes to load and the should be come up the white and black screen with the black mouse pointer and then the grafic installation...I insert the Cd onto the Cdrom and then I reboot off the Pc from the CdRom so the installation gets the Screen Walcome to redhat linux 7.0 without any problems and then I chose press enter that it's the grafical installation(I tried all of them) and the installation starts to run without any problen till that it gets running install....running /sbin/loader that my pc is hung up and I need to reboot off my PC..so are there anybody who knows what is the matter? or what's happend?
Thank you....

I had the same problem with redhat 6.X and
couldn't get it to work right but redt hat 5
and 7 worked fine. I think there installation
is pretty picky or theres a bug in it.

It very well could be that your CD is defective, at least that's what happened to me, although mine came with a book and was a publisher's edition of Red Hat 7.0. It also hanged several times during installation, so I tried simply copying the content of the CD to my hard drive and when that didn't happen as well I called the publisher, had my CD replaced and installed Red Hat without a hitch! Thanks.

Thank you to everyone for your replay...I would like to say to you Robert that i tried the installation with the original REDHAT linux(Bought at REDHAT) and with a version that it comes with a book and it not working in both so.....Thanks!!!!
I think that has to be a hardware compatibility or something like that...

I downloaded the ISOs from redhat's website, they have been used to install on other systems (x86). Now, i'm trying again on an embedded x86 platform (actually not really different from a workstation, 64mb ram, National GXM processor, caviar 33100 HD, Samsung SC-140 CD.)
And i reach the statement:
running /sbin/loader
and it hangs
