delpart should blow away just about anything it can recognize (and I've used it on Unix, Linux, WinNT, DOS):

Just remember, you'll have no partitions at the end of running it, so you'll have to go back and use fdisk/disk druid/cfdisk/whatever before reinstalling another OS

Any type of wipe software will erase the disk. Get a knoppix or other live cd and use eraser or some similar program.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

i think you guys helped me notice somethin.
im using all kinds of software at boot. like wipe v3 pro.iso i burned the iso i know it works because i used it on my other computer. but since this one is a server comp
the comfiguration is different. i can seem to boot from just the cd rom since its connected with the hard drive on raid and don't have another way.
the computer will detect my cd but will go straight to ubuntu.

You should be able to change the boot order
in the system's BIOS. If the CD is after the
HD in the BIOS, the system will always boot
from the HD.

Since I do not use a serve here, I have no
real world experience, but I do not believe
a server is any different than a desktop
system in that the system first runs a
P.O.S.T, then runs the code in the BIOS,
then hands execution off to the OS. If the
CD comes before the HD in the BIOS boot
order, you should be able to boot from the
CD.
