ive used rpm to install all the stuffs ogle needs in order to run dvd. after the stuff installed i couldnt find any icon or user interface to actually run the dvd. where should i go to get it?

If you want to play DVD on your Linux, you should try Xine... It can handle DVD, VCD, CD (music), avi, mpg, etc.

Enter this at a command prompt to see what files were installed:

# rpm -ql ogle

The executables will likely be under /bin or /usr/bin.

In your case, I think all you need to do is enter this:

# ogle

(assuming you are at a terminal in the gui. You can also add "&" at the end, such as "ogle&" to give you back your command prompt while ogle is loaded).

To make an icon, right-click on your desktop and choose something such as "New link to an application" (kde) or "New Launcher" (gnome).
