prev i had a windows system. i formatted n installed linux.. so im very new to linux...
i installed yahoomsg in linux.. first time its fine.. when i restart my linux box.. i didnt find any yahomgs icon on desktop.. how to run yahoo msg in my system n how to create yahoomsg shortcut on my desktop.

what is the name of the executable? Is it "yahoomsg"? Assuming that the yahoo installer installed it properly (in $PATH), you can run it simply by typing the executable name from a console. Have a look at the README or INSTALL file you may have got. creating an icon depends on what desktop environment you're using.
