Hi,
my cdrom drive is /dev/hda i can mount a data cd just fine using the command:
mount -t iso9660 /dev/hda /mnt/cdrom
BUT i cannot mount an audio cd into the drive
when i issue the SAME command:
mount -t iso9660 /dev/hda /mnt/cdrom
i receive the error:
mount: block device /dev/hda is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda,
or too many mounted file systemsi have also tried:
mount /dev/hda /mnt/cdromand receive the error:
/dev/hda: Input/output error
mount: block device /dev/hda is write-protected, mounting read-only
/dev/hda: Input/output error
mount: you must specify the filesystem typei'm assuming i need to specify the correct filesystem type for an audio cd, but i don't know which type it is.
THANX!

you cann't an audio cd because, for mounting a file system is necessary, in an audio cd there is no file system. so you cann't. and it is not necessary to mount as given in response 1.
