HI,
I am using red hat linux 6.1 , kernel version 2.2.12-20 and I have just managed to configure it for internet access.
I used the netscape navigator but i was not really satisfied with it and i have been trying to upgrade it. While doing so i came up with some questions.
Following are my questions:(some may be very
basic....but i could not find a direct answer on the internet)1) how do i find out what is the current version of the netscape navigator in linux.
2) i downloaded the latest version of netscape for linux BUT when i ran the file ns-install it gave me an error saying "no action taken". what is the reason for
this error?3) there are instructions given on how to install it wihtout using ns-install but i was wondering if i have to uninstall the current version??And how do i do that??
4)Also if i have to uninstall any particular software in linux ..how is it done?
5) is there any better browser to use for the linux platform?
thanks,
Ranjit

1)you can find out from netscape' Help>About
2,3)please have look the netscape README
file first
5)Opera fro Linux is a good browser. and
Mozilla which almost like Netscape
