simply make a partition for linux and format iit with exe2 filesystem and install linux

get a cipy of system commander it ll help a lot to partition your drive and you can use it afterwards to boot between both os's

guess a typo (the filesys is ext2) partition magic for windows can create an ext2 partition. But if you are planning to install linux, let the instalation set up the filesystem to ext2 automatically (once you have freed up some space with a partition tool under windows)

I`m looking to put Red hat 7.2 on 2nd HD already formatted to NTFS, 40GB. I`d like a man page or guide/instructions, as in RTFM, under someone`s site that provides step-by step. The red-hat site doesn`t cover it and my LUG needs for me to physically bring the entire system over 100 miles away on some below average roads. If you give me a link,or more, I can read & go from there.
