I have installed Linux. But the distro I got didn't come with Gnome, it does however have KDE.
I would like to know how to install Gnome, so that I can select it on log on.
Remember I am a newbie at this, oh and btw- how do you install fonts?

linux font HOWTO:

what distribution are you using?

make sure you don't have
gnome first. log in as root and
type: "gmc"
if nothing happens, you probably
don't have gnome setup.

the easiest way to get gnome is
by going to http://www.gnome.org/
and downloading the ximian
desktop. i should warn you though:
ximian is EXTREMELY BUGGY.

alternatively, if you are willing
to learn, you could build all of
the files for gnome yourself and
install them. this will take a lot
of time and work to do.
