i wouldnt believe you could, because of the routing tables.
but, you can add 2 different ip's to the same enet card. probably not what you want though.

the usual reason for 2 nics is to get more throughput / redundancy? if this is what you want, have a look at intels' iANS, which will allow you to do link aggregation, load sharing / balancing and hot-standby failover with up to 8 cards. you just need one intel card - the others can be from any vendor - see http://support.intel.com/support/network/adapter/ans/linux/linansoverview.htm
i use it to do cisco FEC aggregation with 2 nics & push 130Mb/sec easily when i backup multiple clients. smokes the living daylights out of OC3 ATM, especially the price
