Hello!!
I have a machine with dual boot Windows NT and Red Hat Linux 7.1 on it. I have one NIC card working on it and connected to Internet.I want to add another NIC card to this machine because I want to use it as a proxy server, one NIC talking to Internet and another talking to the machine on the interior.
The NIC card currently in use is the 3 Com Etherlink 10/100 PCINIC(3C905C-TX) .
I have an Intel EtherExpress PRO/100 NIC.
Which NIC card should I use as a second one? Will Linux automatically detect it ? What IP address should I assign it while configuring?
Currently my IP address is 138.26.80.9 and gateway is 138.26.1.1.
I hope I have explained my problem well.
Please respond if someone knows how it is done.
Thanks in advance
Jim
