Hi,
I'm new to Linux and got myself into a
problem with my cable internet...

Basically I need to know how to release an
IP address in Linux? I'm currently using
SuSe 7.2, if you need any other information
let me know.

Thanks,
Mike

At the shell, type in:
ifdown (can be eth0, eth1, etc)

that shuts down that network card and releases the ip address.

To bring the card back up use:

ifup
