I'm trying to use xine... packaged with Redhat 7.3... HOw do I play DVDs???!!! My dvd device is /dev/cdrom (my cdrw is /dev/cdrom1)... Trying to play the Matrix... Let me know if you need more details... Thank you in advance!!!!!! :D
Thank you for the quick response... Yeah I was trying xine actually... I pressed the DVD button... nothing.. I looked at the device.. It was looking for a /dev/dvd ... but mine us under /dev/cdrom... made a symbolic link... but nothing... This was straight out of a fresh redhat 7.3 install... do I need to put anything else?

If xine doesn't play your DVD, then perhaps you want to check out either vlc or omi!!! vlc --> www.videolan.org omi --> www.linuxvideo.org
In fact, I am playing The Mummy Returns using omi_gtk right now... I am running RedHat Linux 7.2.
