Hello Everyone,

I have been trying to find out for the past 3 to 4 weeks if I could use Apache Web server to host my own domain name or some how point to the my registered domain name.

I don't want to run a intranet web server. That I can do. HOW DO I USE MY PURCHASED AND REGISTERD DOMAIN NAME WITH LINUX AND APACHE.

Does any one have any procedures of how to set up linux and or apache to work as a host for their own domains?

Is their a forum for people who are trying to do this?

Some hosting providers offer free domain forwarding otherwise you may need to
look into bind as a DNS server

Hosting a domain name doesnt belong to a web server, but to the dns server.
