Hello,
I am a newbie in linux.Need your help and guidance regarding creation of suse 9.1 iso images.I have downloaded suse 9.1 installables.I can install it through ftp, but what i really want is to create installable cd's of that.Installables are around 11 gb.Need to create iso images so that i can burn it on cd's.
Seeking your detailed guidance in this regard.
Pls help!!!!!Regards
Shailesh.

As a newbie, you might want to start out with Knoppix or mandrake rather than Suse, just because mandrake comes with EVERYTHING, packages to do ANYTHING, wheeras suse (while a better distribution in general) is more selective.
Either way, just go to linuxiso.org and download the premade iso's. You can't miss 'em :) Then use Nero, or whatever program is in your Windows box to burn them to discs. Reboot, insert disk, follow instructions, live happily ever after.
Again, as a newbie, you might want to try out Knoppix, since you can run it on your computer without reformatting your hard drive or repartitioning. Either way you'll have a ball.

Thanks Birdman for your valuable suggestion.I searched a lot on linuxiso.org but could'nt find the required iso's.I will carry on my search, but still will be helpful if anyone can give me the exact path.
Thanks again.
Regards,
Shailesh.

Hi ShaileshIf you go to the SUSE website's download seection you will find you can now down load a single cd version of 9.1 personal. Just download it and burn Image on your cd (download approx 702mb).

You have to pay for the professional version. Personal Edition is very nice, though, and I doubt you'll be dissapointed.
