Comment:

I am trying to install mandrake 8.2 on a mac
(iBook 300 with 320Mb ram and 40 gig HD) but i
cannot get past the installation proceedure. when
i boot into yaboot i get the following error
message:

/pci@f2000000/mac-io@17/ata-3@20000/
disk@0:0,yaboot.config: Uknown or corrupt
filesystem
Can't open config file

Welcome to yaboot version 1.3.6
Enter 'help' to get some basic usage information
boot:

(pressing tab does not provide any of the video
card installation methods).

any advice on how to proceed is greatly
appreciated as i am not sure what to do.

FYI the hard drive was repartitioned (and zerod)
so that OS X and OS 9 are on separate partitions
at the front of the drive and the remaning space is
'extra'.

thanks for any help as i am REALLY stuck!
louise
