Help with Connect with my 56kmodem

I'm in trouble... i try to connect with my isp by 56k modem, the modem is Zoltrix Rainbow (there is no winmodem, is out of CPU), and linux recognise my modem, and try to establish the connection, but when it try to put the phone number it put the command and inmmediatly it receive ERROR, and it can't connect to the server... I use Linux Mandrake 9.1, i try to connect with KPPP and WVDialer and i can't... Please help, and sorry for my bad english...
