i need help in installing red hat linux 7.
during the installation process i get stuck at the partition section.
Firstly i have created a partition for linux using the partition magic------Linux Ext2 and Linux Swap.at the installation process after the initial installation process where you get at the partition section i get the following options
automatically partition and remove data
fdruid
fdisk
now which option should i select.and what are the process thereafter that i ought to do. can somebody help me to fix the problemThanks

dude/dudette,
Select manual partition, and select Diskdruid, on the next 'window' you will see all the partitions on ur hdd. scroll down and highlight the partition which says "hdX... xxx xxx Linux native or just Linux", and press the EDIT button, u'll be asked to provide a "mount point" just type "/"(forward slash) there and press "OK" now you will be back on the previous window and select done. That is it.
You'll also have to select a BOOT Option, selcect "Master boot Record MBR".
good luck

Just a quick note in case you are planning to dual boot with Bootmagic - you'll need to put LILO on the Linux native partition for Bootmagic to be able to boot it.
Good Luck
